Making a Walking Desk

by | Mar 3, 2014 | Habits

Ingredients
Running machine
2 sets of 6 ft shelves with adjustable shelves
2 pieces of wood: 18inches X 40inches; 24inches X 48 inches

Instructions
Set up the two shelves, the width of the running machine apart from each other, with top shelf about 5 feet off the floor. Rest the bigger piece of wood across that top shelf.
Slide Running machine under that shelf and put your monitor on that piece of wood. Get on the machine and see if you can look at the screen comfortably. Adjust shelves if not.
Place the smaller piece of wood across the handles of the running machine. Place your keyboard, mouse pad and anything else you like to have handy (I have a notepad and pens and my home phone).
Plug in your walking machine and off you go!
I log about 20miles/week, walking at 1.5miles/hr for writing (which I am doing now) and a bit faster if I am reading only.
