Rice cookers are a huge time-saving device. I recommend to most of my clients to get one! You can bulk cook beans and lentils as well as rice, or my favorite:

1 c brown rice
1 c lentils or mung beans
1 bouillon cube
4 c water

Optional extras:
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1 finely sliced onion

Put all ingredients in the rice cooker. Press start and walk away…. You can use it as the basis for your meals for 3-4 days! Add to soups, warm up and put on top of a salad, etc.
