1) EAT A LIGHT, EARLY DINNER

Gravity helps you digest food, so give yourself a few hours before you lie down
If you eat earlier, you’ll go to bed earlier
When you sleep, you want to be detoxing not processing food

2) PLAN MEALS

We make thousands of decision every day & willpower is a muscle that fatigues
Remove the choice you have to make when you’re tired at the end of the day, by filling the fridge on Sunday with a big soup, bean chilli or some salad jars.

3) CREATE A ROUTINE

As a family create a routine that you can stick to for most of the week:
Get up at the same time & go to sleep at the same time EVERY DAY!
Exercise at the same time
Eat your meals at the same time
Turn off technology at the same time
Removing the choices, frees up mental space for all that good thinking you want to do!

4) SELF-MASSAGE

Fall is associated with change: wind, falling leaves, back to school, colder weather, central air
Protect yourself from these environmental factors by stepping up your self-care.
Take a bottle of almond oil & massage it into your whole body, scalp to toes, massage it into your children’s bodies
Sit on an old towel and meditate for 3 minutes or teach your kids to meditate
Get in the shower or tub (the warm water will help the oil soak into the deeper layers of skin)
Drizzle some dish detergent down the plug so you don’t block the drains!
