Have you ever walked with a group for a long time? Notice how the group ebbs and flows? You might walk with 4 or 5 people, then break off with one person. Then, an hour later you might walk on your own for a bit.

I have found this experience when I did some hiking in Peru with a group of people, for example. The energy levels, the desire to chat, the desire to be quiet. The desire to hang out with someone you know more or someone you know less.

Allow yourself to be in that flow – to pay attention to what you need at any one time and follow that, rather than feeling like you have to do what is “expected.”
