When you move through your life, it’s easy to always be thinking of what’s coming next, what happened before, creating to-do lists and reflecting on things that did not go well. This can result in a lack of moment-to-moment presence.

Which… might result in a you forgetting to put the lid on the toothpaste, putting the milk back in the fridge, putting your dirty clothes in the laundry basket.

So, I encourage you to take a moment and slow down. Breathe. And start to get really present to what you’re actually doing, right now. Are you just reading this? Are you listening to music? Are you drinking a cup of coffee? Are you outside? What are your feet doing?

When you can cultivate presence in every moment, it’s easier to keep track of what you’re doing, put things back where they belong, as you go and thus, manage your belongings more carefully!
